On Friday, March 17, CAPNI received a delegation from the Ecumenical Council in Berlin-Brandenburg Germany, headed by Monsignor Dr. Hansiorg Günther from the Catholic Church, with Bishop Dr. Marcus Dröge from the Lutheran Church, representatives from the Syriac Orthodox Church and the Free Evangelical Churches, in addition to people interested in Eastern Christians. The delegation included Mr. David Mueller the political activist and lobbyist for Iraqi affairs and Iraqi minorities.

In the meeting, which lasted more than two hours, CAPNI reviewed the general conditions of Iraqi Christians and the challenges they face; CAPNI director and staff presented a brief historical background of the organization, its development and growth, its current programs and its future vision as a humanitarian development institution that addresses vulnerable communities of Iraqi minorities, especially Christians and Yazidis.

After this review there was an interactive discussion through the questions raised by the visiting delegation.

This meeting came within the visit and program carried out by the delegation to the region, where the schedule included Erbil, Mosul, the Nineveh Plains and Dohuk Governorate, in which the delegation meets church, political and community references, in addition to visiting many churches and places.
