Rehabilitation of The Irrigation Canal

Activities

• Communicate with the Duhok Governorate Irrigation Directorate.
• Follow-up and preparation of all channel documents, such as the bill of quantities and Irrigation canal runway, with government approvals to start the project.
• Communicating with Mukhtar, the people of the village, and the owners of agricultural lands whose agricultural lands pass through the irrigation canal.
• Land preparation and rubble removal.
• CAPNI Organization put forward a tender within the Qudra 2 project to rehabilitate the irrigation canal in the village of Bakhtmi, after good coordination with the Hamad International Airport team represented by Mr. Beston, the construction consultant. Specialized contracting companies participated in the bid, and the selection of the winning company depends on specific conditions and criteria and with the approval of the Irrigation Directorate. Dohuk Governorate (the main beneficiary of the project), after opening the bids submitted to the Kabini Organization by the Tenders Committee, Harin Construction Company was selected to implement the rehabilitation components and pour concrete in the Bakhtmi Irrigation Canal and with the approval of the Irrigation Directorate and the donor.
• After signing the contract with the executing company, the construction works were carried out according to the schedule of quantities announced by the Engineering Department of the Irrigation Directorate, according to the required technical and engineering specifications, and under the supervision of the Kabini Organization and the Planning Department in the Irrigation Directorate.
• Conducting a focused group discussion before starting the implementation of the project as well as at the end of the project and communicating with the owners of farms and farmers in the village of Bakhetme continuously to find out their needs.
• Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the project for all its stages through communication with the executing company, direct beneficiaries, and the donor consultant.
